Story of Bareilly Ki Barfi
The Story of Bareilly Ki Barfi is based on a girl who belongs to a middle class ordinary family. Bareilly is a small town in Uttar Pradesh, The Mishra family lives in the narrow streets of Bareilly, which is a ordinary family like the rest of the ordinary families. Their daughter Bitti (Kriti Sanon) has been treated like a son. Bitti is not like girls from other small towns. She drinks cigarettes, watches English films and loves breaks dance. Her parents are quite cool about her lifestyle. But her boyfriend / fiance does not think so.
After two engagement breaks, Bitti feels that she is not right for this city and runs away from the house. She sees a book at the station “Bareilly Ki Barfi”. The funny thing is that after reading the book, Bitti returns home and tries to contact the author of “Bareilly Ki Barfi” Chirag Dubey (Ayushman Khurana).

It sounds quite simple to hear? But the story is not that much simple. In fact, Chirag has written this book on the unsavory love of himself and Babli but in it, he uses the nicknames because his girlfriend Babli is married and very happy in her life.
Chirag meets the bitti for the first time and fall in love. In order to impress her, he fabricates a story about his friend Pritam Virodhi (Rajkumar Rao). Soon Chirag realizes that Bitti loves Pritam(Rajkumar Rao) and wants to meet him. For the love of Bitti, Chirag wants to make Pritam the author of the book and bring him in front of her and speaks to Pritam to do everything which Bitti hates. Will her idea work? For this, you have to watch the film.
Ashwini Iyer Tiwari, who is featured with her debut film Neil Batte Sannata, has come up with a movie that has emotions. The film has been written in a great way but it is a slow narration that makes the film a little weaker and leaves you dissatisfied. Though her superb direction keeps the film strong. Nitesh and his team writers have beautifully written and worked on the local things in the film.
Kriti Sanon is absolutely perfect in the movie and will win your heart with her style and attitude. In the character of Chirag, Ayushman Khurana will remind you of “Meri pyari Bindu”. Just the difference is that the character is more in depth and it is interesting to see him.
But it is Rajkumar Rao who, especially in the second half, make the rest of the characters fade in front of him. You will get the most pleasure from seeing him shy, from a salesman who sells simple saris and a bad and mischievous character.
Pankaj Tiwari and Seema Pahwa have also done justice with their character and make the film even more powerful than comic chemistry.
Cinematography of Gewemik U Erie is amazing and puts life in the movie. Editing of the film could have been even better.
“Sweetie Tera Drama”, “Twist Kamariya” are the songs on which you want to dance. “Najm Najm” is also very beautiful song. The rest of the songs can not leave the impression.
If you like a good lightweight drama movie then you can go to Bareilly’s Barfi. You will love to see Rajkumar Rao especially.
