Panchkula: The hearing in the special CBI court of Panchkula has started in two cases of murder against Rama Rahim (Ram Rahim) convicted of rape. There was a muscle in the court through video conferencing of Ram Rahim. In view of security, Ram Rahim was presented through video conferencing. Panchakula paramilitary forces and the Haryana Police's troops have been deployed. Significantly, Ram Rahim was sentenced to 20 years in jail after convicting two sages.

Baba Ram Rahim Singh Murder Case

CBI court is hearing cases of murder of Ram Chandra Chattrapati and former Dera manager Ranjit Singh. There is provision for life imprisonment or death penalty for murder. A special CBI court of Panchkula had convicted Ram Rahim on August 25, on charges of raping Sadhvis, on August 25. After Baba was convicted, his followers had fallen on violence. During this period 38 people were killed and about 264 people were injured.

Baba's supporters handed over 100 trains to the fire. After this, the Punjab and Haryana High Court had ordered strict action against the damage done in the violence by the Punjab and Haryana High Court. On August 28, Ram Rahim was given a 20-year sentence by the court. Since then, Baba is being punished in Rohtak's Sunaria Jail. In the two cases of murder against Dera chief Ram Rahim and others, the security of the city and surrounding areas has been increased again in view of the hearing on Saturday.




This case has been linked to the killing of journalist Ram Chandra Chattrapathi and Dera manager Ranjit Singh, allegedly by Sirsa journalists, for followers of Dera chief and those working for him. Special CBI Judge Jagdeep Singh is hearing this case. On August 25, he had also given Ram Rahim a 20-year rigorous imprisonment in two cases of misbehavior.

According to the prosecution, Sirsa journalist Chattrapati was shot dead in October 2002. His newspaper 'Full Truth' had printed an anonymous letter stating how the women had sexual harassment at the headquarters of Sirsa.



The second case is linked to the murder of Dera manager Ranjeet Singh, who was murdered in 2002. He was assassinated for his doubtful role in broadcasting an unknown letter. Both the victims of the murder had approached the court, after which the Punjab and Haryana High Courts had ordered CBI probe in November 2003. In the murder case, the CBI filed the charge sheet on 30 July 2007.
